Resale to the Rescue is excited to be able to further our mission by awarding grants to animal welfare organizations in our community. Our mission is to reduce the number of animals euthanized in local shelters, and we are eager to have your organization as a partner in this mission.
If you or your organization is involved in animal welfare in the Michiana area, you may apply to receive a grant from Resale to the Rescue. Our grant criteria is as follows:
You/your organization must be registered as a 501c3 organization with the federal government.
If you/your organization are an animal rescue involved in adopting animals, you must spay/neuter all animals before they are adopted, as well as update vaccines.
You must submit the completed grant application, your 501c3 letter from the IRS, and your two most current IRS 990 forms (if available) or complete documentation of all monies received and spent since becoming a 501c3 organization.
We are currently giving priority to programs that promote spay/neuter, microchipping, and medical care of owned, adoptable, and/or “community” animals, as well as humane education.
You may complete the application online. No handwritten applications will be accepted. The application must be fully completed. If there are sections that do not apply to your organization, explain why they do not. Once completed, print out the application, attach a copy of the 501c3 designation letter, and copies of your two most recent 990 forms/financial documentation OR complete documentation of monies received and expenses.
